			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://colmisainmdom.wordpress.com/files/2007/07/prime.jpg" alt="Optimus Prime" align="left" height="210" width="556" />I was going to try think up a very philosophical name for this post, but this is simply the only way to describe the <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418279/" title="IMDB" target="_blank">latest incarnation</a> of the 80s classic.</p>
<p><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Bay" title="Wiki" target="_blank">Michael Bay</a> had big things expected of him. After all, this was Transformers, not sodding <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120591/" title="IMDB" target="_blank">Armageddon</a>.  And I must say, I like what he provided. He clearly had a picture of what he wanted from the outset. Hiring <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Cullen" title="Wiki" target="_blank">Peter Cullen</a>, the voice of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimus_Prime" title="Wiki" target="_blank">Optimus Prime</a> from the 80s cartoon, was a master stroke. However, he departed from the cartoon by having <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumblebee_%28Transformers%29" title="Wiki" target="_blank">Bumblebee</a> as a Camaro as opposed to a Beetle.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll forgive that though for the amazing fight sequences between the Autobots &amp; the Decepticons. Honestly, I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve ever seen such realistic CGI. Was it not for the total impossibility of what I was seeing, I could have easily believed what I was seeing was purpose built 30 foot tall robots.</p>
<p>Previews have ended now until Thursday night, but I&#8217;d recommend seeing it ASAP. Course, that means you&#8217;ll have to pick between it and <a href="http://www.simpsonsmovie.com" title="Simpsons Movie.com" target="_blank">the Simpsons</a>&#8230;</p>
