Transformers rocks

I was going to try think up a very philosophical name for this post, but this is simply the only way to describe the latest incarnation of the 80s classic.
Michael Bay had big things expected of him. After all, this was Transformers, not sodding Armageddon. And I must say, I like what he provided. He clearly had a picture of what he wanted from the outset. Hiring Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime from the 80s cartoon, was a master stroke. However, he departed from the cartoon by having Bumblebee as a Camaro as opposed to a Beetle.
I’ll forgive that though for the amazing fight sequences between the Autobots & the Decepticons. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such realistic CGI. Was it not for the total impossibility of what I was seeing, I could have easily believed what I was seeing was purpose built 30 foot tall robots.
Previews have ended now until Thursday night, but I’d recommend seeing it ASAP. Course, that means you’ll have to pick between it and the Simpsons…
